October 3rd, 2017 – Tipper X: The Inside Story of a Whistleblower

Hear how Tom Hardin went from being a successful long-short equity analyst, to an inside trader and eventually a central whistleblower in the FBI's 2007-2008 investigation of the hedge fund industry. Known only as "Tipper X" until his identity was ultimately revealed by the FBI, Hardin was a critical figure in the bureau's investigation and ultimately helped build more than 20 criminal cases, including the demise of $3.7 billion hedge fund firm Galleon Group.

Join your fellow financial writers for an evening that's not to be missed at a venue that has a fascinating background of its own, having consistently operated as a tavern since its founding in 1864, straight through Depression when it cloaked its identify with the fake exterior of a flower shop.
