Are you planning to look for a journalism job in New York City? The New York Financial Writer’s next event will highlight ways to approach a job search and will feature a panel of four young journalism graduates who recently secured positions in financial news and will discuss their individual experiences. Allison Smith, a reporter a Bloomberg News; Anita Ramaswamy, a senior writer for TechCrunch; Beth Treffeisen, a reporter at NBC Universal and Diana Li, a reporter at Bloomberg News will give tips on how to write cover letters, resumes and navigate interviews. They will also talk about the range of outlets hiring in the city, from legacy institutions, such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and Bloomberg, to trade publications and new startups.

If you are a student or a young professional, this event is for you! And, of course, more seasoned journalists are welcome to attend and share their thoughts and experiences as well –and to network over drinks and appetizers before and after the panel discussion.
